Monday Motivation: Sports Are Awesome
We strive to provide a bevy of resources for families and counselors on the student-athlete experience, but sometimes it’s important to celebrate those moments that make sports so special.
This offseason, Eastern Michigan University released a video that featured one of their team captains donating his football scholarship to teammate Zack Conti after finding out Conti was donating plasma to make ends meet in college.
I’m sure there are plenty of conversations to have surrounding why a student has to sell plasma to afford higher education, but let’s focus on the compassion shown by this team, as it really emphasizes the impact that being part of a community can have on individuals.
