Academic and Athletic Background
Reid did what most athletes do, and chose a college for athletics. He chose to attend Texas Tech University because it was the “biggest” program offering him a baseball scholarship. Baseball wasn’t enough to make up for a poor fit academically and personally, so he transferred to Weatherford College. Reid ended up attending four total colleges in four years, and even quit baseball halfway through his college experience due to burnout and mental health struggles. Reid ultimately ended up earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Texas - Austin, focusing on sport development and youth sport policy.
Counselor Experience
Reid has been working with student-athletes since 2016, when he advised his pitching clients on the admissions process in between drills. Shortly after discovering this passion, Reid founded the company that would eventually become Athletes to Athletes and started working with student-athletes in a more formal capacity all over the country. Reid is a Certified Educational Planner, currently holds a professional membership with IECA, and is a member of both TACAC and NACAC. Reid is also SafeSport Certified through the USOC credentialing program.

Why do you do this?
I do this because I know what kind of difference this service would have made for my own college experience. We like to put athletes in boxes and only focus on finding athletic fits because the subject that garners the most attention with our friends and family. In reality, athletes are so much more than just their sport and deserve to have the same college experiences as their full-time student counterparts.I’m passionate about helping my student-athletes discover their interests and create a manageable process to pursue schools that satisfy them athletically, academically, personally, and financially.
"THERE IS NO DOWNSIDE. PERIOD. Knowing what I know now, there is absolutely no reason not to take this step. The access to our advisor's knowledge, experience, perspective, holistic approach, and passion for the player’s success was worth far more than anything we could have paid for it."
